who we are
The UF Habitat for Humanity Chapter works in collaboration with Alachua Habitat for Humanity to provide decent, affordable housing to deserving families in the Gainesville community. Families are required to contribute sweat equity hours on their home and other homes, take classes on finance and home ownership, and pay an affordable mortgage on their home, which is used to build other Habitat homes. Habitat for Humanity depends heavily on volunteers, donations, and sponsorships.
what we do
UF Habitat provides volunteers for Alachua Habitat for Humanity builds every Saturday. Projects include new home construction, rehabilitation to existing homes, and critical home repairs. Check out our “Builds” page to learn more and get involved!
