florida's corporate community tax credit program (cctcp)
If your company pays Florida corporate income tax or insurance premium tax, or if your business collects and remits sales tax to the State of Florida, you may be eligible for Florida's Corporate Community Tax Credit Program (CCTCP). This program provides financial incentive to encourage businesses to make donations to affordable housing projects for families with limited incomes. Alachua Habitat for Humanity is a certified sponsor for the CCTCP program and we even take care of the paperwork for you!
Some of our past and current CCTCP partners include: KB Ace Hardware, Trade PMR, AMJ Properties, Chevron at Hunters Crossing, Davis Gainesville Automotive, CPPI, Satchel's Pizza, Mercedes-Benz of Gainesville, and Citizens State Bank
For more information on the CCTCP program, contact Stevie Doyle, Executive Director, at sdoyle@alachuahabitat.org or 352-371-5871
lending partnerships
Lending partnerships are innovative ways for banks to partner with Alachua Habitat for Humanity to help local families with limited incomes obtain decent, affordable housing while earning their required Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) credits. Partnering with us through the purchase of qualified Alachua Habitat mortgages allows us to leverage assets to build more affordable homes for more local families. For more information on becoming a lending partner, please contact Stevie Doyle, Executive Director, at sdoyle@alachuahabitat.org or 352-371-5871.
third party fundraising
Thank you for thinking of us - Alachua Habitat for Humanity appreciates all who want to help us further our mission! One of the many ways to support Alachua Habitat is by planning an event to raise funds for our affiliate, known as a third-party fundraiser. We are grateful for funds raised - they help us to continue building locally. We'd like to help you make your event as successful as possible, and will need some information from you in order to do that. Please complete the Fundraising Application Form at least one week prior to the event, and send it to Stevie Doyle for approval.
Once we receive and approve your application, you'll receive our logo file (when applicable) to use for promoting your event. We look forward to working with you!
Please be aware that the use of Alachua Habitat for Humanity's name and/or logo without our expressed permission is prohibited.
home repair heroes
critical home repair program
Through our Critical Home Repair (CHR) Program, we address major home repairs that greatly impact the lives of families by eliminating unsafe and severely inadequate living conditions thereby enabling families to remain in their homes. Our CHR program focuses on both exterior and interior major repairs such as roof repair and replacement; wall repairs; flooring systems; accessibility; and septic, plumbing, and electrical issues. Critical home repair projects not only enable families to stay in their homes and make them safe to live in, but also support the economic and cultural vibrancy of the community and preserve affordable housing stock. Critical home repair projects are part of our larger Neighborhood Revitalization Program that includes leveraging public and private investments and community partnerships to assist in developing affordable, safe housing to revitalize the community.
home repair heroes giving circle
Funding is our biggest obstacle for our CHR program - not only in amount, but also timing. We start CHR projects for qualified households once we have secured funding for the project. Our construction team prioritizes projects in each household, so the most critical are the ones we address first. CHR projects cost anywhere from $5000 to $25,000 each, with the average CHR project falling in the $13,000 - $15,000 range. Currently, the CHR program is predominantly funded through small grants. With inconsistent grantor funding cycles, shifts in grantors' funding priorities, and the uncertainty of grant award amounts, it is very difficult to plan for CHR projects as we must wait until the full amount for each project is secured, which leaves families in unsafe and unhealthy situations for too long. That's where you come in!
While most of our donors and funders contribute to our homeownership program, we believe there is a subset who have a heart for Critical Home Repair projects. To make a donation directly to critical home repair projects, click the button below - your donation will be put to work right away!
