Donations from Individuals

Have you been able to park your car in your garage lately?? We didn't think so!

Remodeling, cleaning out, downsizing or just getting organized?

Consider donating your excess household goods and building materials to our ReStore. We'll gladly take new and gently-used items off your hands and you'll get the satisfaction of knowing they helped support local families and didn't end up in the landfill.

All donations are tax-deductible and help us further our mission of bringing people together to build homes, communities, and hope right here in Alachua County.

Donations from businesses

Our ReStore is owned and operated by Alachua Habitat for Humanity with all proceeds supporting the Habitat mission of bringing people together to build homes, communities, and hope.

For businesses, donating to the Habitat ReStore is a great way to move discontinued or excess stock, deal with gently used returns, and show your customers that you care about the environment and your community. Plus, we'll pick up your donated goods, which will save you time and money.

Your business can help by:

  • Donating merchandise that
    • You would generally return to the vendor
    • You are no longer keeping in inventory
    • Still has value but would otherwise be disposed of
  • Asking your customers who are buying new to donate their gently used old furniture and appliances when they receive their new purchase

Contact our ReStore to request counter cards and stand to display at your register or sales desk

We have FREE pick-up service available

To become a ReStore partner, call 352-373-5728 or email store@alachuahabitat.org

Blue donation boxes

Have you seen these blue boxes around town and wondered what they were? Well, here's the information you've been looking for!

How it works

The Alachua Habitat for Humanity ReStore partners with Suncoast Textile Recycling to turn clothing, belts, shoes, purses, and linens into funds that we put directly into our mission of bringing people together to build homes, communities, and hope.

Suncoast Textile Recycling brokers with partners world-wide (in places such as West Africa, Haiti, Honduras, and Mexico) to provide coordinating agencies the much-needed clothing, shoes, and linens to help victims of natural disasters and their homeless/disadvantaged populations.

Why it works

Not only do your donations to the blue donation boxes help you clean out your closets, but they help people around the world in times of crisis, divert waste from our local landfill, and help Alachua Habitat partner with more families to create decent, affordable housing here in Alachua County.

It's a win-win-win-win situation!
