Neighborhood Revitalization is Habitat for Humanity’s holistic approach that expands upon its partnership with volunteers and new homeowners to also include neighbors and local organizations for an increased impact.
Through this effort, neighborhoods across the United States are revitalized into vibrant, safe and inviting places to live for current and future residents, thanks to the hard work of engaged citizens, partnerships with civic and business groups, and a renewed community spirit.
Neighborhood Revitalization enables us to serve even more families by responding to community aspirations and empowering residents to revive their neighborhoods and enhance their quality of life.
We have been partnering with the Greater Duval community through our Neighborhood Revitalization program since 2013. The resident-driven Greater Duval Neighborhood Association (GDNA) acquired it's 501(c)3 status in 2016.
Here is just some of what the GDNA is working on to improve their community:
The Greater Duval area is bounded by Waldo Rd. to NE 12th St South to University Ave.
