Construction volunteers

The most popular volunteer opportunities are on our construction sites. All volunteers are coached by Site Supervisors and Site Supervisor Assistants, so no experience is necessary - we teach you everything you need to know on site! Construction site opportunities may be ongoing or a one-time opportunity.

Build sites

Construction sites are open on Saturdays from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm. Some weekday builds are also available. You can volunteer on build sites just one time, or as many times as you would like to. Volunteers need to be a minimum of 16 years old on construction sites.

Special Projects

Typical one-time opportunities include A Brush With Kindness projects, which entail painting the exterior of homeowners' houses in low-income neighborhoods; park & neighborhood clean-ups; and special events.

These projects do not have regular dates, but when scheduled they typically take place on Fridays and Saturdays from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm.

For these one-time volunteer opportunities, volunteers may be 12 years old or older.

If you don't want to swing a hammer, then we are always looking for volunteers to provide lunch to our construction volunteers. Lunch typically covers 20 to 25 volunteers. This is a great opportunity for families, faith-based organizations, or small groups that want to be involved but don't want to build.
