Internship Management Intern
Position Summary:
Alachua Habitat for Humanity is seeking an intern to assist with the planning and further development of the internship program. The Internship Management Intern will have the opportunity to grow their management skills and work in a challenging, fast paced environment to help advance the goals of Alachua Habitat. Please note this is an unpaid internship.
Representative Duties/Assignments:
- Review internship resumes from multiple outlets in order to select qualified interns
- Contact interns, schedule interviews, and maintain contact with prospects
- Develop and prepare internship orientation materials
- Develop team building activities for the internship program
- Refine the recruitment strategy to attract interns to Alachua Habitat
- Attend job fairs at the University of Florida and Santa Fe College
- Oversee interns’ weekly activities to then generate reports
Minimum Requirements:
- 10 hours/week
- Confidence writing emails and reaching out to on campus organizations/colleges
- Excellent writing and proofreading skills
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Ability to prioritize and work well under deadlines
- Ability to manage projects with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
