The Site Selection Committee meets on an as needed basis and forwards recommendations to the Executive Committee for action or to the Board of Directors for approval.

The Committee's goal is to effectively manage AHFH's existing inventory of vacant land in a manner that supports and compliments the most efficient use of AHFH's limited resources, as well as work to acquire new properties that allow AHFH to continue its mission without interruption or delay.

These recommendations should be based, among many other factors, on feedback from the Family Selection Committee and the Construction Committee regarding the number of approved families waiting for homes and the speed at which new homes can be built.
