| Groundbreaking - March 29, 2008 MS Slides Flash Slides Larry's Notes (from his update e-mail) Ground was broken this morning in an outstanding ceremony planned by Elaine Besalski. Fifty-four people, mostly Lutherans, were in attendance. Thanks to Yvonne Annis, Judy Bates and the members of Abiding Savior Lutheran Church who provided refreshments. Thanks to John, Bob, Larry, Paul and Bev for representing Habitat. The slab was poured on Friday. A team of volunteers, lead by Congregational Champions David Barber and Ron Bauldree, cleaned up the site in preparation for the groundbreaking. The walls have been laid out on the slab. The site is ready for framing. |

| Week 01 - 3/30 - 4/5 MS Slides Flash Slides Larry's Notes (from his update e-mail) The slab was poured on Friday. A team of volunteers, lead by Congregational Champions David Barber and Ron Bauldree, cleaned up the site in preparation for the groundbreaking. The walls have been laid out on the slab. The site is ready for framing. The storage trailer was delivered to the site this afternoon. |

| Week 02 - 4/6 - 4/12 MS Slides Flash Slides Larry's Notes (from his update e-mail) Eight volunteers and Leatha worked a half day on Tuesday. One crew cleared more of the lot. The other crew assembled and raised interior walls and plumbed and trued the exterior walls. Four volunteers and Leatha worked a half day on Thursday. We assembled and raised more of the interior walls and sheathed most of the exterior walls. Sixteen volunteers worked on Saturday. We installed the porch beam, set the trusses and finished sheathing the exterior. B.J. Rust, from First Lutheran Church, served as devotion leader/site host. Lunch was provided by a group from University Lutheran Church. |

| Week 03 - 4/13-4/19 MS Slides Flash Slides Larry's Notes (from update e-mail) Seven volunteers and Leatha cleared more of the lot, adjusted the framing and finished nailing the sheathing. Six volunteers and Leatha completed preparations for decking on Thursday. Nineteen volunteers and Leatha cleared more of the lot and installed all of the roof sheathing on Saturday. Four UF Habitaters worked with us today. B.J. Rust, from First Lutheran Church served as devotion leader/site host. Lunch was provided by a group from First Lutheran Church |

| Week 04 - 4/20-4/26 MS Slides Flash Slides Larry's Notes (from update e-mail) Six volunteers and Leatha nailed the roof sheathing and installed the windows, exterior doors and fascia on Tuesday, April 22. We passed the roof sheathing nailing inspection on Wednesday, April 23. Eight volunteers and Leatha put felt and dripedge on the roof and completed preparations for the structural inspection on Thursday, April 24. The plumber installed the tubs and the in-wall plumbing. We passed the structural framing inspection on Friday, April 25. Twelve volunteers sealed around the windows, wrapped the house in felt paper, nearly completed the corner, window and door trim, installed three courses of siding around most of the house and made excellent progress on the electrical rough-in. | Week 05 - 4/27-5/3 MS Slides Flash Slides Larry's Notes (from update e-mail) The AC contractor roughed in the ductwork on Monday, April 28. Four volunteers and Leatha installed siding and fill the dumpster with yard trash Tuesday, 29 April. Six volunteers and Leatha installed siding and started priming the exterior Thursday, May 1. The roofers (volunteers from Perry Roofing) shingled the roof and the pest control contractor sprayed the framing. Twenty volunteers, Leatha and her granddaughter completed the siding, primed and caulked the exterior, applied the first coat of paint, partially completed painting the trim, installed the soffit j-channel and filled the dumpster on Saturday, May 3. Most of the crew was recruited by Thrivent financial Representative DeAnna Edwards. Our regional contact (Lutheran Community Service Specialist/Thrivent Builds), John Schultz, came up from Orlando to help with the workday. Lunch was brought from Abiding Savior Lutheran Church by Judy Bates and Elaine Besalski. |

| Week 06 - 5/4-5/10 MS Slides Flash Slides Larry's Notes (from update e-mail) We passed the mechanical inspection on Monday, May 5. Six volunteers installed the soffit on Tuesday, May 6. The insulating contractor installed the attic baffles and insulated the exterior walls. We passed the insulation inspection and received the drywall on Wednesday, May 7. Five volunteers and Leatha installed about half of the ceiling drywall on Thursday, May 8. Twelve volunteers, Leatha and her granddaughters completed the ceiling drywall and about 80% of the drywall on the interior surfaces of the exterior walls on Saturday, May 10. Elaine Besalski was site host and presented the opening devotion. Lunch was provided by Sandra Bauldree, Ruth Fugmann and Joan Anderson from University Lutheran Church. |

| Week 07 - 5/11-5/17 MS Slides Flash Slides Larry's Notes (from his update e-mail) Five volunteers and Leatha installed drywall and backerboard on Tuesday, May 13. Four volunteers installed drywall on Thursday, May 15. Ten volunteers and Leatha and her granddaughters completed the drywall, formed the stoop, graded the yard adjacent to the house, repainted the house exterior and exterior trim and started the fence and porch trim on Saturday, May 17. The plastering contractor completed plastering the interior of the house. Lunch was provided by Fran Froehlich and Penny Erickson from Gethsemane Lutheran Church. |

| Week 08 - 5/18-5/24 MS Slides Flash Slides Larry's Notes (from his update e-mail) Eight volunteers and Leatha primed the interior, finished painting the exterior and started tiling the baths on Tuesday, May 20. Five volunteers and Leatha painted the interior on Thursday, May 22. Six volunteers installed the electrical switches and receptacles, nearly finished tiling the main bath, applied the final coat of paint to the interior, and installed a medicine cabinet, the interior window sills and about half of the closet shelving on Saturday, May 24.
